Jackfir sat down with clean living expert and founder of Clean Kitchen Nutrition Kyle Fitzgerald to chat healthy living.

How did you become so passionate about nutrition?

My passion for nutrition really started from my own health struggles. Back in 2016, I developed lower back pain that slowly turned into severe digestive issues. After a couple of years of tests, doctor visits, and medications, I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease. Even after countless prescriptions and even having surgery, I still didn't feel better. I was exhausted, had full-body nerve pain, skin issues, and just felt completely disconnected from my body.

At one point, I asked my GI doctor if diet could make a difference, and she basically brushed it off. That moment kind of changed everything for me. I started doing my own research, reading everything I could about food, ingredients, and how what we eat affects inflammation and overall health. Once I started cutting out processed foods and focusing on real, single-ingredient foods, I noticed massive changes — my energy improved, my digestion got better, and I just felt like myself again.

That’s when it clicked. I realized most people have no idea what’s actually in the food they’re eating. Not because they don’t care, but because no one ever taught them. That’s what inspired me to start Clean Kitchen Nutrition — to help people understand ingredients, make better choices at the grocery store, and take back control of their health in a way that’s simple and sustainable.

What are your top three tips for living a healthy lifestyle?

1. Eat real food. Stick to single-ingredient, whole foods as much as possible - Beef, Chicken, Fish, Eggs, Fruits, Vegetables

2. Get sunlight and move daily. Whether it’s a workout, a walk, or just being outside barefoot — movement and nature are medicine.

3. Prioritize sleep and stress management. You can eat perfectly, but if you’re not sleeping or managing stress, you’ll never feel your best.

Do you have a skincare routine? If so, what is it?

Yes, but I keep it super simple. I keep everything as non-toxic and minimal as possible. I wash my face with a clean gentle cleanser, use a natural moisturizer or tallow-based balm, and I’ll occasionally use red light therapy to support skin health from the inside out. I’m a big believer that what you put in your body matters just as much as what you put on it.

Which Jackfir product is your favorite?
